It denotes the time an action takes place, whether sometime in the past, in the present, or will take some time in the future.
Grammar tenses refer to the state of the verb. The state, or tense, of the verb explains the time of the action.
It is the time associated with the work performed i.e. it tells you about the time of the work performed.

Present Simple/Indefinite Tense
When the time of the work performed is not certain or not sure.

Present Continous

A) A Task in continuation ( while we speak )

B) A task in continuation not necessarily at the time of speaking.

2) I am pursuing a Bachelor of commerce.
C) A task to be performed in the near future.
Ex:- 1) I am planning a party tomorrow.
2) I am going to Delhi this evening.

Simple Past Tense
D). Adverb of past time never uses the present perfect tense ( simple past ).
