An article is a word used to modify a noun, which is a person, place, object, or idea. Technically, an article is an adjective, which is any word that modifies a noun.

Types of Articles
- Definite Articles:- “The” particular information is mentioned.
- Indefinite Articles:- “A, An” any one uses.
Definite Articles (“The”)
1) Use it before a superlative degree.
Ex:- The sun is the greatest energy in this world.
2) Possessive case + Superlative degree.
Ex:- Arum my the best friends.
3) When a proper noun is used common noun.

5) Geographical feature:
(Rivers, Ocean, Mountain, Ranges, Guulfs, Island group)
6) when comparative degrees are used and “the” is used as an adverb.

7) If the singular noun is used to show the entire category.
