OUR FAMILY
FAMILY:- A family is a group of people who are related to each other.

Grandfather
Grandmother
Uncle
Aunt
Cousins etc….
Types of a family :
1 . Small family ( Nuclear family ) :
* A family with parents and one or two children is called a small family.
* Child lives with his father, mother, and brother/ sister. This is a small family.
* Small family is a happy family.
* Small family is also known as a nuclear family.
2.Big family :
* A family with parents and more than two children is called a large family
* Child lives with his father, mother, sisters, and brothers.
3. Joint family :
* Child lives with his mother, father, brother, grandmother, grandfather,
uncle, aunt, and cousins are called joint family.

*Food makes us healthy and strong.
*We eat food to live.
Types of Food
Our food is divided in three groups:-
1.Energy giving food:-
*Energy giving food gives us energy and strength.
2.Bodybuilding food:-
*Bodybuilding food builds up our body.
3.Protective food:-
*Protective food protects us from disease.
WATER
*We all need water to live.
*We get water from many sources.
*Water is very precious so we must conserve it.
*consumption of dirty water makes us sick.

Seasons
1.Summer season
*Summer season is very hot.
* Sun rays fall straight on this part of the earth.
* Days are long and nights are short.
* People wear light cotton clothes. It keeps us
cool.
* April, May, and June are the months of the summer
season.
* We take cool drinks and eat ice cream.
* We use fans, air conditioners on summer days.
Rainy Season
*The rainy season starts after hot summer.
*Dark clouds fill the sky.
*Sometimes there are strong winds and storms.
*People take hot drinks, spicy food.
*We use raincoats, gumboot, and umbrellas.
*We see the rainbow after the rains.
*Sometimes we hear thunder and lightning.
*July, August, and September are the months of the rainy season.
Winter Season
* Winter is very cold.
* In some places, it snows.
* We wear woolen clothes. It keeps us warm.
* Days are short and nights are longer.
* We take hot drinks in winter.
* People wear sweaters, shawls, and gloves.
*October, November, December, and January are
the months of the winter season.
Spring Season
* This season is most pleasant.
* Plants put on new leaves.
* Flowers bloom everywhere.
* It is neither cold nor hot.
* Days and nights are equal.
* February and March are the months of the spring season.
