QUALIFICATIONS | (i) An Honours degree from a recognized University (ii) 3(Three) years experience as Sub-Editor or working Journalist in any media house of repute; or 3(Three) years experience as a Mass Communication practitioner in the Public Relations Wing of Government, Semi-Government Organization or /and Corporate House or reputed Advertisement Agencies with experience of bringing out house journals and publicity materials in print media. (iii) Knowledge, experience, and ability to prepare original manuscripts in English and Bengali and reproductions of illustrations (iv) Knowledge, experience, and ability to translate from English to Bengali and vice versa. (v) Thorough knowledge and ability of proofreading in English and Bengali. (vi) Knowledge, experience, and ability to undertake and supervise computer-aided page designing. |

I N F O R M A T I O N
- PSC Requirement- All the degrees/diplomas/certificates mentioned in the advertisement must have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
- The prescribed ‘essential qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called for the interview. Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large and it is not conveniently possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualification /higher marks/ grade obtained or on the basis of a Preliminary Screening Test (PST).
Note – Commission has fixed qualifying marks in Interview in the following manner

- A candidate would be considered as well qualified if his/her educational qualification is at least one level higher than the essential PSC Requirement
- The Public Service Commission may require such further proof of particulars from the candidates as it may consider necessary and may make inquiries about their character and other particulars regarding suitability and eligibility
