a) Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on
A4 size paper) duly filled in.
b) A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
c) Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet.
d) Personal hand sanitiser (50 ml).
e) Personal transparent water bottle.
f) Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
How to Fill JEE Main Application Form?
Students to keep a few things in mind while filling the application form. Firstly, the application form other than online mode will not be accepted. Candidates can submit only one application. Multiple submissions will be rejected. They can follow the given steps for successfully submitting the online application form.
Step 1: Visit the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and register for the online form. Make a note of the application number. It will be required to generate the password and for future correspondence.
Step 2: Log in to the portal using the application number and password and access the application form.
Step 3: Start filling in the form and type in all the required details.
Step 4: Upload the scanned copy of the documents containing the signature and also photographs.
Step 5: Payment of JEE Main Exam Fees – online or offline payment.
- Offline Payment: Download the e-challan and transfer the fee amount at any branch of ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank, or Canara Bank.
- Online Payment: Using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, SBI Buddy Wallet, PAYTM, UPI, and Cash Cards.
Step 6: Take a print out of the acknowledgement or confirmation page.
Things Candidates Should Keep Ready Before Filling The Form
Before filling of the online application form candidates should keep the following things ready.
- PC with a good internet connection.
- Details of qualification.
- Scanned copy of passport photograph. It has to be clear, in JPG/JPEG format and the image size has to be between 10 kb–200 kb.
- Digital copy of the candidate’s signature in JPG/JPEG format with the image size between 4 kb–30 kb.
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.) and the file size: 50kb to 300KB).
- PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb) in jpg/jpeg format.
- Working e-mail id.
- Valid mobile number.
- A printer to print the confirmation page.
NTA will also provide a one-time correction facility to make all the required changes in the form. For the new session, the correction window will be opened on certain dates which will be announced by the exam authority. Additional fees have to be paid.
Note: As per the official notification, no correction will be allowed after the submission of the final application. Moreover, candidates have to know that no change will be accepted even if they send a request by post, fax, email, or by hand.
JEE Main Reservation Criteria
The examination authority follows the reservation criteria laid by the government of India for granting admissions through JEE Main. All India ranks will be provided based on the categorical reservation policy. The percentage reservations of categories for admissions through JEE Main are as follows:

JEE Main Mock Test
Since JEE Main exam can be taken only in the computer-based online test, therefore, the conducting authority has set up several practice centres to help the engineering aspirants get acquainted with the exam format.
Students can access the mock test for JEE Mains online by visiting the link ( www.nta.ac.in) for hands-on practice. Earlier, students could also visit the practice centres set up by the National Testing Agency and take the test. This facility might now be available this time. We will keep this space updated when we get the information.
They can train themselves for the “Computer Based Test ” mode of examinations. Experienced and professional Nodal officer and staff are said to be available at the TPC. Candidates could take their help and clear their doubts regarding the exam.
